On August 4, 2025, the long-awaited Seeker device officially begins shipping. But, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. They want to expand their platform to support a decentralized mobile ecosystem powered by SKR, its native token.
This Solana mobile evolution aims to put power back into the hands of users, developers, and even device makers.
The SKR Token: Fuel for the Web3 Mobile Engine
At the heart of this new era is SKR, the token driving Solana Mobile’s economy. Unlike most platform tokens, SKR isn’t just about speculation. It’s designed to reward participation, giving tokens directly to developers who build on the platform and users who actively engage with it.
For example, developers building decentralized apps (dApps) on Seeker won’t face the usual gatekeepers of app stores. Instead, they’ll keep what they earn, reach a crypto-native audience, and plug directly into a growing mobile-first ecosystem. Users benefit too, with tools for owning their assets, controlling their digital identity, and signing transactions in one tap.

A real-world sign of this momentum: over 30,000 Saga phones, Solana Mobile’s first device, were activated in less than a year, proving there’s demand for phones purpose-built for crypto.
Scaling Securely With TEEPIN and Guardians
As the platform grows, so does the need for secure architecture. Enter TEEPIN, a framework that connects verified hardware, trusted execution environments, and a decentralized network of “Guardians.” Together, they ensure the entire mobile experience stays secure while remaining open and censorship-resistant.
Solana Mobile is also opening its platform to OEMs (original equipment manufacturers). This means third-party phone makers can now adopt the Solana Mobile stack and plug into the SKR-powered ecosystem, accelerating adoption and innovation.
It’s a shift that mirrors a larger trend: the rise of crypto-native infrastructure that works out of the box. From Helium’s decentralized mobile network to privacy-first wallets like Phantom, users want control, speed, and simplicity — and Seeker aims to deliver all three.
