That upgrade is coming soon in the form of native USDC. It is issued directly by Circle and fully backed by cash and cash-equivalent assets. Circle will automatically convert all existing bridged USDC on World Chain to native USDC. Why does that matter? Native USDC is regulated, audited, and globally trusted. For millions of users. CCTP V2: A Cross-Chain Boost
Alongside native USDC, Circle is also bringing in CCTP V2 (Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol), a tool that makes moving USDC between chains faster and more cost-effective.
