By the end of Q2 2025, the platform will allow everyday users to directly trade U.S. stocks like Apple, Microsoft, and MicroStrategy. It will also offer access to commodities such as gold and crude oil.
This move signals a major expansion for Bybit, one of the world’s largest crypto derivatives exchanges. It positions the platform as a one-stop shop for both digital assets and traditional investments.
A Broader Toolkit for Traders
In a recent announcement, Bybit CEO Ben Zhou revealed that the new features will be integrated into the platform’s existing trading ecosystem, offering retail users access to traditional markets with leverage up to 500x. That means users could control a significantly larger position with a smaller upfront investment, though high leverage also comes with high risk.
Bybit is not starting from scratch. Its gold trading platform, accessible through Bybit MT5 (MetaTrader 5), has already seen a spike in popularity, especially as investors look for safe havens in times of market uncertainty. The move to offer a wider range of traditional assets aims to capture this growing interest, bringing everything from tech stocks to commodities under one digital roof.

Crypto Meets Wall Street—on One Platform
This strategic expansion reflects a larger trend: the growing overlap between traditional finance (TradFi) and digital assets. Platforms like Robinhood have already made crypto trading accessible to stock investors. Now, Bybit is flipping the script, giving crypto users a chance to explore equities and commodities without leaving the crypto-first platform they trust.
According to a recent Statista survey, over 20% of adults globally have invested in crypto. As this user base matures, many are looking to diversify, especially as macroeconomic uncertainty affects both digital and traditional markets. Bybit’s new offering could fill that demand, especially for users outside the U.S. who might face barriers accessing American stock markets.
